Vocational Evaluation

A Vocational Evaluation is a specific forensic product for dispute resolution often used in insurance claims or medical legal disputes related to injuries sustained in vehicle-related accidents, at the workplace or on private or public property. Any combination of impairments related to physical, neurological, cognitive or psychological function are considered. How these affect an individual’s ability to work/earn an income, engage in activities of daily living, participate in social and community settings, and provide care for themselves or others, as well as the quality of life with which these activities occurs is important to consider when determining an individual’s functional and financial outcome. Vocational Evaluations are also used in marital and family disputes such as in the determination of an individual’s ability to earn an income and how that impacts child or spousal support. A Vocational Evaluation requires the expertise and experience of a Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE) as set out by the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professional.
